128Hz Tuning Fork Fundamentals

The 128Hz tuning fork is one of the simplest and most effective tools for relieving tension and supporting the nervous system.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to use a 128Hz fork on your own body to identify areas of discomfort and follow the body’s response in real time.

This class focuses on practical application — not theory.

You’ll learn:

• How to activate the fork correctly
• Where and how to place it on bone and muscle
• How to map areas of tension or discomfort
• How to follow sensation instead of forcing change
• How to create a simple at-home relief practice

After a live demonstration, you’ll practice on yourself or partner with another attendee under guided instruction.

Reference materials, including acupressure guides, will be available for those who want to explore specific points. The core of this class is learning to trust and follow your body’s signals — so you can find relief now, not weeks down the line.

This workshop is ideal for anyone who:
• Experiences muscle tension, anxiety or stress
• Already owns a tuning fork but feels unsure how to use it
• Is considering purchasing a 128Hz fork
• Wants a simple, accessible self-care tool

Tuning forks will be available for demonstration and purchase.

No prior experience necessary.
Ages 15+ (Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian).

Sound Healing @Eastwest

About Julie Kalua

Julie Kalua is a sound practitioner, musician, and educator whose work bridges technical precision with embodied awareness. With a lifelong background in singing and piano, and formal training in sound healing, she brings both musical fluency and practical skill to her sessions and workshops.

For over two and a half years, Julie has served as the singing bowl and sound tools buyer for East West Bookshop, carefully selecting instruments for their resonance, tonal quality, and vibrational integrity. Her hands-on experience with tuning forks, bowls, and frequency-based tools allows her to guide others in using sound with confidence and clarity.

Julie’s approach emphasizes listening to the body, mapping tension, and working with frequency in a grounded, accessible way. Whether teaching foundational skills or facilitating deeper sound experiences, she creates structured, supportive environments where participants can reconnect to their own internal guidance and regulation.
