Numerous scientific studies have shown how conscious breathing can influence one’s mental, emotional, and physical state. And the system of Yoga provides us time tested tools to work with the physical breath for gaining mastery over our thoughts and emotions.
In this day long retreat, we will focus on gaining a deeper understanding of our breath, and learn ways to use it as a tool to calm and center ourselves—both in meditation and in daily life.
Some areas we will explore include:
The physiology of breath and ways to achieve relaxed breathing
Consciously working with the subtle yogic nature of breath as prana
Ways to deepen your meditation practice through attunement with the breath
Working with the breath to calm emotions and counteract stress
A light vegetarian lunch will be provided
